Wow, we’ve been waiting and complaining that they needed to end the manga, but now that it’s actually ending, it’s really sad…

And I’ve heard rumor that once the manga was finished they were going to start making the anime again or make another movie. Anyone know if this is true???

All good things must end we know that’s true.  I agree with RISSRISS, I also was hoping for a several years past ending because it would mean we will see what happens to the characters and I like that.  I will miss Inuyasha but I’m glad it is coming to conclusion.  it’s been a great ride!!!!

I hope that we get to see an older Shippo. Inuyasha should have matured a little bit, after seeing what one year with Kagome did. Kagome would be in eleventh grade, Kaede could have died, Sango and Miroku would have gotten together.

3 year jump would start when she would normally go to her first day of school

but she has compleated school now so this is her first time without school

she is some where from 18 to 17 but legal japanese adults are 20 years old

argh this is SO gonna end like harry potter (for you hp fans like me :P)

the good: we get to see what happened at the end of all we know. it’s gonna be shorter and we dont have to wait with angst-filled chapters to find out what happened. YAY!

the bad: we miss out on the good inu/kag moments and sango and miroku’s wedding

does anyone know if the well is gonna close as soon as kagome wishes the jewel outta existence? cuz maybe then the last chapter would have inuyasha and kagome meeting after those 3 years of high school (er, 503 years for inuyasha…)? just a thought…

mapThe last chapter… Well, it had to come eventually. *sighs* I can’t believe she’s going to skip three years. It’s a huge time loop, so the possibilities are now endless. Characters may now be pregnant, married, dead, taller, homeless, etc. etc…. Three years is about 1,500-2,000 more material in chapters(Wouldn’t the scanlators be super doopers thrilled with all that extra work?!)–including details, of course. Also, in three years, if still together in the same time era(s), Inuyasha and Kagome would’ve definitely hooked up! I mean, I can imagine them holding hands, kissing, and finally acting like a normal couple. In a way, it’d be sort of lucky because we would get to miss all those awkward moments everyone has at the beginning of a romantic relationship. Aneways, if Inuyasha and Kagome somehow end up together, and if Rumiko nicely wraps up the final touches with no crazy plot twists that leave us all ranting, I will enjoy the resolution. 

I’m going to miss you all as well! Excluding some real-life anime dweebs I know, you all are my true IY family. I truly don’t think we’d each be here today if Inuyasha hadn’t affected us emotionally in some way. Big or small, it doesn’t matter to me, we were all touched by something of Rumiko’s doing, and that makes us have a common bond. So, I cherish that bond we share! Well, I won’t give a proper farewell probably ’till next week. And ghawd, If they’re dweebs, I must be a mega-ultra-super-mongo dweeb. Keh, I can live with that. 

P.s. They may not kiss, but, oddly, I still have some hope left…

 It must be three years since the chapter from this week because Kagome graduated from middle school.  So, in the series only about a year has passed (which I think is madly insane haha).

As for this spoiler…I told myself to NOT read it, and oh what do you know here I am xD  I can’t wait for next week, I hope it comes fast =(  I’ve only been an Inu fan for about 2 years, and a fan of the manga for about one so I;m gonna miss it.  Hopefully we’ll see some closure between Inu/Kag, it’d be nice if she stayed in the feudal era, no?  She belongs there I think; I mean she feels the most at home with her friends, but back on the other side of the well the only place she feels she belongs is at home.  I dunno, just my speculation…

I just hope whatever we see is good, no broken hearts!

i have one question ..
how did all the demons disapear in 500 years or less?
because in inuyasha’s time there are thousants of demons or more, and in kagome’s time not a single demon is left . my guess is that the jewel must have done something to all the demons, purified them, and inuyasha will live because he is a half-demon and will become human

SKEEPE - I’ve wondered what happened to all the demons in the present day.  It’s possible they all died out through war, as well as natural causes.  It’s also possible they are living among humans incognito; can’t you just picture Sesshoumaru as the ruthless CEO of a major company!?  And it’s also possible that Sesshomaru and other demons are living in a demon kingdom (or whatever it was) in the sky like his mother (with Sesshoumaru as leader).

 That aside, I think this is such a great ending.  I can’t wait to see 557 (I thoroughly enjoyed the spoiler), and 558.  That’s good RT is skipping over highschool.  Inuyasha can’t go, so it would just be like the chapters when he was in her world bringing her lunch or messing up her day (and cute as that is, we’ve already seen it).  Inuyasha will probably take over the Higurashi shrine/temple maybe with Kagome.  I guessed a long time ago that Inuyasha wouldn’t become human.  Kagome has been repeating throughout the manga that she likes him just the way he is (which means she loves him more than Kikyou did).

How strange that she is ending it at 559. Why not go an extra chapter and end it at 600? Wouldn’t she feel more accomplished going 100 chapters over what she wanted to reach before?

Heillo Again!

Just a quick note, I’m covered in stoneware clay and I have a dragon’s scales to detail before I can get it all off me, but, I can use this moment to pass along a wee bit vis a vis the InuYasha Musical Stage Play dvd I have.  I bought it on Ebay about 4 years ago and it was rare even then.  I recall the ad saying something about only a couple left.  I have seen them come up from time to time, but usually only in Japan.  (Not that I’m watching for them.)  I checked this morning and Ebay didn’t have them and neither did Amazon. or even Rinkya.  It may be awhi8le before it appears and if it does, it will be because someone has to part with it out of their collection.  I paid about $20 for it 4 years ago so it may be much more now that it is more rare.

I also have a book that is purported to be an InuYasha Novel and another that is supposed to be the Psyhcology of InuYasha .  More stuff I’d love to get translated someday.  One of the former messages mentioned something called the "hybrid movie".  What is that exactly?  I am not sure whether or not I’ve ever heard of this.  Could someone please fill me in?

I actually looked up my old ftp program with the thought of uploading some of my drawings of InuYasha, but I can’t mess with it because my husband came home early and is cracking the whip on me to get more art done for this weekend.  Pheh.  Just wanna draw more pix of him that’s all. .

 Well, I’m off again (who’s surprised?) so I will check in now and then by lurking until after this weekend’s show.

the epiloge 3 years later is what i’ve secretly been hoping for all along

there will be a little toddler version of miroku and sango will be pregnant with her second child 

and it will include inuxkag wedding with the fated first kiss even if inuyasha has already kissed kikyou 2 times

i don’t care about the other charactersbut it would be nice to see what happens to rin, kohaku and fluffy-sama if we have the pages for it

Haha, U know what would totally suck? If in the last chapter, Kikyo was alive and well and Inuyasha Ditches Kagome for her XD. I cant believe its the end already!! Three years!? Seriously if Sango isnt pregnant, Ill quickly assume 1 of two things:

1. Miroku has no *ahem*
2. They cant find the time XD

I want Kagome and Inuyasha to end up together as much as the next person unfortunately all of my hopes went out the window when Kagome wished for the jewel to disappear for forever. I though Inuyasha would wish to become human. Now even if they can go back and forth to eachother’s time, it won’t matter because Kagome will continue to age rapidly as humans do while Inuyasha will be unchanged. How can they marry? How can it work for more than a couple years?

I believe it’s mostly fan speculation that Inuyasha ages much slower than a human.  There isn’t any book or interview that I know of where RT actually says he ages slower than humans.  Because he was stuck to the tree though for 50 years and then met Kagome, he still has the body of a fifteen year old kid, so that would help a little in the age department, ne?  At least that’s what I think, correct me if I’m wrong ;D

1. Maybe because 600 isn’t after the number 559. 560 is after 559.

2. It ends at 558 not 559.

Oh no, I must be one of the few that was hoping against the so-many-years-later epilogue, as it conveniently skips so many of the fun resolutions I was hoping to see.

Ah well, we can always have fun with the three-years-later theme:

There is no other way - kagome and Inu have to kiss. If they don’t, I will burn my comp!!!!! The end seems to be good. I read 557 chapter on adinuyasha.com. I hoped they kiss finally, but this chapter even without kiss was very emotional. I can’t believe it’s end already. When I’m thinking about it, it’s very nostalgic. After so many years the manga has reached her end and we won’t see anymore inuyasha’s friends battle with demons etc. But the other side is that finally we will be able to watch anime again. I don’t know what will be in the end, but Rumiko is under a lot of pressure to make really emotional chapter!!!!!

Hard to believe it’s finally over, but then again, the drama llama that is the Inuyasha fandom had to come to a close sometime, right, Starks?

wow..its finally ended after nearly 12 years.  Thank you to Rumiko Takahashi for creating INUYASHA and to Starks and Patches for translating everything, without all of you, I’ll never be able to read the manga.

And to all those asking if the manga would be animated, i think so. read somewhere that they will be continuing the anime and making a new movie. (Hope so too )

The third movie ‘Swords of An Honourable Ruler’ revealed that InuYasha was born 200 years before his meeting with Kagome.  If you wish to discount the years he was sealed to the tree, then he is 150 years old.

To INUYASHA_PASSION, I’ve been watching Ninja Warrior for about 8 mo. and am totally infatuated with Makoto Nagano, the fishing boat captian.  I even know where to start watching which game ep. like part 1 or 2 ect. when he’s on.  He enters in the 9th game, that’s how much of a fan I am of him. 

Back to Inu and Kag I’m sorry it’s ending but at least I can reread it and all.  Thank you so much Starks and Patches for translating.  By the way my son who loves everything Japanese said people can get married at age 17 over there, so although with all the tests they have to take just to get into middle school,high school and college I think I’d go nuts if I was married also.
