Surprising nobody, Viz confirms subbed simulcast for Inuyasha The Final Act *UPDATE*

Just got out of the Viz panel a little while ago and perhaps the only news worth talking about was the confirmation of a Final Act subtitled simulcast.

As you may already know, Viz, by virtue of their handling of the Final Act license, had made little or no attempt to conceal this plan. The early license and English logo were dead giveaways of their intent to simulcast.

At any rate, this is the first good news in a while aside from the OP and ED titles ('A future without you' and 'With you' respectively).

Edit: I forgot to mention that the simulcasted episodes with English subtitles will be put up on the http://shonensunday.com/anime website within 3 hours of airing in Japan.

Do we have a confirmation on the number of episodes? ANN has only 13 episode slots listed. Please tell me they're not going to try cramming this into 13 eps.

Yes, you download it, and choose nihon TV, and you watch whatever is on that channel. cool isn't it?

Yup. 日本テレビ is Nippon/Nihon TV (NTV) on KeyHole.

I've been a KeyHole fan for a while.

any ideal when it will be aired on adult swim? my children are crazy about this show we have purchased the available seasons as well as the movies and they are excited about the continuation of the show.

Viz said there aren't any plans for AS right now.

They'll probably pitch it for late 2010.

Does anyone have any ideas if the series will be dubbed. I grew up watching it dubbed, and trying to watch it subbed is going to be very hard for me.
