I wonder: was Kanna's skin always glass-like rather than fleshy (like Kagura's), or did it transform that way to reflect her direct connection to the Mirror Demon? I think she's always been that way; she was inseparable from her mirror. Still, she never really "shone" before or suggested that her skin was glass-like instead of fleshy.

Nice catch with the chapter titles. I think this is the end of the road for Kanna too. I think that, despite the chapter title "Nothingness," we'll get to see a tiny bit of emotion in Kanna before she goes. It may be in the same form as the beginning of this arc: thinking of her sister Kagura.

Glad that Kanna put up a good fight. I do wonder why Naraku didn't order her to do this a while ago; even Inu's gang admits in 478 that Inu would've been killed by Kanna's attacks were he unable to turn into demon form.  Shouki(Quote)

She'll stop her attack, and then attempt to murder Naraku? I really doubt that. Never mind the fact that Naraku is inaccessible in some random shouki-filled volcano somewhere; but Kanna is about to shatter any second, and has been pushing herself harder and harder to serve Naraku faithfully even while dying.

Killing Byakuya is more realistic, but would still be hugely unexpected.
